Being a premium brand, Apple, in it’s September Product Launch 2018 have pressed one fact really hard; it will never ascend down the premium ladder soon.
Apple launched iPhone XR with a 6.1-inch starting from $749, iPhone XS from $999, and iPhone XS Max, being the most costly iPhone ever, starting from $1,099. They have also dived into the health-tech market with a new and improved Apple Watch Series 4 that tracks the health of your heart. The Food and Drug Administration certifies this watch. All the while talking about the Apple September Product launch 2018, one thing is evident. The brand is restating their philosophy over and over again. Design at the max and innovation at the next. Even though these three new iPhones are not victors with innovative technology, it will take you on a premium ride, both on design and price.
Let’s talk about the expensive ones first. iPhone XS and XS Max are both premium priced with premium specifications. XS has 5.8-inch with 458 PPI display, and XS Max is fitted with a 6.5-inch with 458 PPI display. Their display being an OLED HDR screen, they have an A12 Bionic chip threaded with 7-nanometer processor chips which boldly states 30% faster launch of apps than previous iPhones. Both devices come in storage options of 64GB, 128GB, and 512GB. They both are equipped with a 12MP Dual camera with an edge of the telephoto lens. It also has a 7MP front-facing cameras with better depth for portrait mode. Both are IP68 water-resistant, surviving up to 30 minutes and 2 meters underwater. The XS and XS Max have a stronger battery life than iPhone X, getting you an hour and a half longer duration than X. The iPhone XR is the cheaper set among the three. It has better specs than the iPhone 8. It is geared with an A12 Bionic chip and storage options of 64GB, 128GB, and 512GB. During the Apple September Product launch 2018, Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, kick-started the reveal declaring “Today, we will tell you about two of our most personal promise. The ones that are with you everywhere that you go and how we gonna take them even further”. He even went further, enthusiastically pressing that “The iPhone X has changed the industry. Today, we are going to take iPhone X to the next level. I am really excited to show what is by far the most advanced iPhone that we ever created”! The iPhones being the most expensive in the entire series have put out the competition to bigger screens because of one single fact that bigger screens are doing well in the market. Apart from that, the XS Max marks the ‘most expensive phone from Apple,’ pricing in the range of $1,099 to $1,449.
Apple is out with a promise of health which translates into a better future with individuals that needs constant monitoring. The world saw the new Apple Watch Series 4 rise as the more modern and better device for health. Jeff Williams, Apple COO, announced that it has numerous health detecting features and everything about it is redesigned and re-engineered. It has the perfect shape of a watch with curved edges and narrow bezels. It is literally, ECG on your wrist that even has an automatic fall detector that sends an emergency alert option for you to call. If you are immobile for a minute, it automatically places an emergency call. It has also notched the speaker 50% louder. It is available in three aluminum finishes. Silver, gold, and space grey. Apple Watch Series 4 with GPS starts at $399, and the cellular one starts at $499. The fact that Series 3 of Apple Watch was placed in the line at better and affordable prices (starting from $279) was received well by the audience.
This Apple September Product Launch 2018 also saw an update to Home Pods. The new upgrade of stereo pairs and Airplay will notch a rank higher if you second it with one more Home Pod leaving you with an immersive and multi-room audio experience. It has other great features like searching favorite songs with lyrics, create multiple timers, dial and receive calls, and ping any of your Apple devices to track it. The event also saw an update to tvOS. It now has Dolby Atmos support for Apple TV 4K. Other than all of these fantastic upgrades, Tim Cook also spearheaded into announcing the update for MacOS, the MacOS Mojave. It packed in a dark mode and enhanced Desktop, Finder and Privacy security with a wholly redesigned App Store.
The 2018 Apple Event marked the latest, bigger and extravagant products from Apple. The Apple Watch Series 4 is a pricier but more thoughtful and beneficiary than the previous versions, which makes it evident that Apple is taking health seriously. Schiller headed the event with high spirits ticking the next range of expensive Apple products with a better promise of technology.
